One should visit the temple with a holy spirit /feelings. Only then, the noble intension of one’s visit will be reached. Such dedicated visits to holy places can lead the mortals to the immortal peace in heaven, says the history of puranas. Shri Manguesh Temple is a very pious place. The incarnation of Shiva residing here is believed to be satisfying everybody’s wish who devotes himself to him. This place is famous all over the world as vows fulfilling religious ground. This can be proved by one’s experiences. Every Mahajan who visits the temple should take God darshan as soon as he comes to the temple. This initial visit is called ‘Dhulbhet‘ (Dust Meeting). If any Mahajan wants to perform any religious rituals, he is supposed to have bath in the temple premises or at the Brahmin’s residence get dressed in Pitambar , change his Yadnopavit (sacred thread around right hand and neck) while versing various religious phrases (Gayatri Mantra etc.) with the help of the Brahmin (Pujari). Hot drinks, alcohol, meat, fish etc. are considered untouchable from the point of view of religious belief. Hence, such things should not be taken in the temple premises or should not eaten in the temple premises. A Mahajan who has been abroad (visited foreign land/country) and wishes to perform any rituals by himself after coming back then he has to go to Shree Swami Maharaj of Kavalem Math (Shree Gaudpadacharya Math) to seek his written permission along with getting himself purified. He should submit such a written permission to the managing committee of the temple after which he may be permitted to perform the ritual he wishes to perform. Accordingly, easy arrangements for the purification by holy water & mantras etc. are made at Kavalem Math by Shree Swami Maharaj. The person has to apply in writing to Shree Swami Maharaj for his purification ceremony (vidhi). The Mahajans who wish to donate any money or money for any religious rituals should meet the managing committee and take a receipt of it duly signed by the member of Managing Committee. If more than one Rupee or any offerings in the form of gold, silver or any other metal are offered in the plate before God, please ask for the due receipt of it from the Pujari (Brahmin) on duty. No money or anything else as tip should be given to other servants of the temple. Money that you wish to offer/donate to the temple should be put into the fund box placed on the square of the temple “Kanik” in the form of money or any other material may offered in the plate in front of the idol which is then given to the managing committee and due receipt of the same may be taken from the secretary of the Managing Committee. Those Mahajans who respected the rituals and regulations, mentioned herein and are willing to abide by them can be permitted to stay in the agrashala of the temple with due permission of the Management Committee or its secretary, so that they can perform the religious deeds easily.
